The Build UP - Review!

WHERE TO BE MERRY: THE BUILD UP @CASTLE IVAR

The 4-1-1: The Build UP is an unforgettable experience, in every sense of the phrase!

The night commences with a van picking up guests at a designated pick-up/drop-off location. Guests are whisked away to “The Castle” for a mini-reception with complimentary wine, beer and water. After the reception, the show begins on the ground floor and takes place in several different rooms for about 45 minutes, before everyone ends up on the rooftop patio, with a full-out “party” and jam session by the band.

Aside from being a classy, well-produced affair from start to finish, the real highlight of the evening is the performance style itself.

There’s no stage. Not one..

Our debut was a success and we're super excited for the opportunity to do a four-show extended run of this gritty, romantic, sometimes funny and edgy site-specific play. 

The Build UP returns Sunday's in March 3/3, 3/10, 3/17 & 3/24.

The Build UP takes place in a private, Hollywood mansion and follows the lives of Kaliegh and Christophe, a married couple on the edge.

She wants him to save her; he wants to save himself...a band saves them both.


KALIEGH is feeling neglected both by her film career and her husband (CHRISTOPHE) as he tries to find himself in his new career as a music manager after being downsized. As a result, she confides in a cute plumber who happens to come for a house call. 

You'll decided what's next as you get up close and personal with this performance as it moves throughout the private home which acts as the stage for this story.

Shortly after the Union merger, SAG-AFTRA contacted me (writer/producer) and Tina McDowelle (Exec Producer) to conduct an on-camera interview to talk about producing Short Films and working with SAG-AFTRA.
